ONE ACCOMPLISHMENT AT A TIME - OVERCOMING YOUR SETBACKS
NO REGRETS - STEPPING BACK INTO MY AMERICAN DREAM WITH CONFIDENCE
I. THE GOAL
The MSSYM House is to provide an accountable and affordable Christ-Centered Transitional Housing Program for women and children.
II. SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11(KJV).
III. THE PURPOSE
The purpose of the Transitional Housing Program is to provide emergency temporary 90 - 180 day housing for women and, if applicable, their minor age children. This program provides residents with safe, clean, harmonious, drug and alcohol free affordable housing. The expectation of a high level of accountability will help provide residents the stepping-stones needed to help them successfully re-enter society as a disciplined disciple of Jesus Christ. The program is directed and monitored by the MSSYM House.
IV. PROGRAM APPLICATION
Those interested in applying for the MSSYM Transitional Housing Program must complete an application and submit it to Dr. S. H-Bynum of MSSYM House.
V. PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE
Your acceptance into the program is based on program success and relapse potential, spiritual growth and commitment, disciplinary issues, church and recovery program involvement, ability to get along with others, attitudes, goals, employability, availability of housing space, etc.
VI. IMMEDIATE TERMINATION
Men on the property is automatic termination from the program, NO EXCEPTIONS.
VII. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Part of successful independent living requires the ability to responsibly manage one's personal finances and to make timely payments of one's financial obligations. Financial integrity is a necessary and important life skill. To be adequately prepared for the future, you will need to build a solid foundation in finances. Each resident will be assigned a financial advisor to assist them with their financial affairs.
